Director of Project Delivery

Our client is a global leader in supply chain automation. It designs and delivers turnkey sortation, material handling and warehouse automation solutions for some of Canada's largest parcel, logistics, grocery and beverage networks. With a growing pipeline of complex projects, the Canadian business is building a new leadership team to support its next stage of growth.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Director of Project Delivery will lead the delivery of automation projects ranging from $5 million to $100 million. They range from manual sortation systems to fully automated parcel and warehouse solutions. You'll own project margins and profitability and define how projects are governed and delivered in Canada.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end project delivery from contract through installation, integration and commissioning
• Manage greenfield and brownfield projects involving construction, multiple sub-trades and shared customer responsibilities
• Establish disciplined governance for scope, requirements, documentation and change control
• Own project budgets, margins and customer relationships
• Lead and develop a team of six project managers, engineers and commissioning technicians
• Partner with the U.S. project management team on global projects

What you bring

• Experience delivering large, complex projects of up to approximately $100 million, ideally with an automation or material handling systems integrator
• Knowledge of industry standards for quality, ergonomics and functionality
• Engineering coordination experience, including AutoCAD or Navisworks
• An industrial or mechanical engineering degree and PMP designation (preferred)
• A disciplined, detail-oriented approach and comfort holding teams and customers to clear commitments
